Excess Inventory Liquidation

Over the years, Marc has structured and executed wholesale inventory disposition transactions on a global basis for noted retail apparel brands, including:

  • Express
  • Limited TOO
  • Justice
  • Levis
  • Lane Bryant
  • A & F
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • Perry Ellis Accessories

Prior to joining Hilco, Marc was President of Chicago-based Exit Trading, Inc., a company he founded in 1993. A successful buyer and remarketer of soft goods cancellations and overruns, Exit Trading maintained sales offices in the U.S. and a network of buying offices in Asia and Central America, near many of the world’s largest garment manufacturing centers.

Using its own capital, Exit Trading offered clients the immediacy and certainty of inventory acquisition transactions, where competitors relied on commission-based or fee-based dispositions.

Earlier in his career, Marc spent nine years with Union Bay Sportswear, a major branded apparel manufacturer, where he served as Vice President of Women’s Sales. He also spent nine years with several other well-known branded apparel companies, including Brittania Jeans; Ship & Shore, Inc.; and Ditto Jean Company.
